Noir 400 - 35mm Black and White Film

The fastest in the collection. Built for when the light doesn't cooperate. The Noir range covers four speeds — Noir 400 is the one you reach for when the other three would leave you underexposed. This Is How I Roll Film Noir 400 is the fastest member of the Noir collection, rated at ISO 400 and sharing the same transparent polyester base, cinematic character, and hand-rolled recycled canister approach as the rest of the range. Where the slower Noir films reward careful, deliberate shooting in good light, Noir 400 opens the collection up to indoor available light, overcast conditions, and street photography where speed matters. In stock now and shipping fast from the UK.

What Makes Noir 400 Good

ISO 400 - The speed that handles most situations. Fast enough for available light indoors, versatile enough for everything outside.

Cinematic Character - The same intentional, noir-inspired aesthetic as the rest of the collection, now available when the light is genuinely difficult.

Transparent Polyester Base - Dries completely flat. Excellent for scanning — no curl, consistent results.

Hand-Rolled - Fresh stock in recycled canisters. Independent film production done properly.

Standard B&W Chemistry - Develops in standard chemistry without special handling.

36 Exposures - A full roll for situations that don't give you time to think.

Best For

Street photography, indoor available light, overcast conditions, documentary work, and photographers who want the Noir collection's character without being limited to bright conditions. Once you've shot it, send it our way — we develop and scan it too.

Perfect for photographers who want cinematic black and white character at a speed that actually works when the light stops cooperating.
